The Kinzua Railroad Bridge (Kinzua Viaduct) near Mount Jewett PA was first
constructed in 1882 and at the time of its completion it was the "longest and
highest railroad bridge in the World." It stood 301 feet from the valley floor at
its center and was 2100 feet long. Unfortunately, it was damaged by a tornado on
Monday, July 21, 2003 and more than half of the bridge collapsed. It is located
Kinzua Bridge State Park, McKean County, Pennsylvania. For information, see the
